Man arrested on suspicion of murder of Hillmorton woman released after post mortem concludes natural causes

A man arrested on suspicion of the murder of a Hillmorton woman over the weekend has been released without charge.

Officers were called to a property on Featherbed Lane shortly after 3pm on Sunday, April 13 after a woman was found dead.

Police initially arrested a 47-year-old man on suspicion of murder.

A post-mortem, which the Advertiser understands was conducted this morning, April 15, has concluded that she died of natural causes.

Following this, the man has been released without charge.

Det Insp Collette O’Keefe from Warwickshire Police said: “A thorough investigation has been conducted, and the death is not being treated as suspicious.

“I would like to thank the public for their help and support with enquiries.

"Our thoughts remain with the lady’s family during this difficult time.”
