Lord Numb, of Brink Contemporary Arts, created the mural over four weeks to bring a continental feel to The Crown Building in Spencer Yard.

It is one of five semi-permanent murals painted by Brink's artists, one being the Frontline project mural designed by Danny Coyne.

Always on the look out for legal places to paint, the Brink artists were immediately drawn to the other walls in Spencer Yard.

Lord Numb came up with a site-specific concept with his artists creating a peregrine falcon linking to the nesting pair at the Town Hall and pigeons.

He said: "Not only is it an honour to be able to design a piece of site-specific work that directly relates to the former use of the building but also to have been able to create

something for the community to enjoy and act as a possible draw to the town, enhancing the local economy."

Brink Contemporary Arts has been running the legal street art in town for eight years, featuring at Art in the Park since the start of the festival seven years ago.

For the last few years, Brink has been working to develop a street art trail throughout Leamington, the work on the Crown Building and the nursery in Spencer Yard having expanded the trail into what is soon to become the heart of Leamingtons 'Creative Quarter.

The artists created for the beautiful murals along the canal and on the Rangemaster building - the mural used for the Channel 4 bid and the Cat mural to name but a few.

The Mayor of Leamington Cllr Susan Rasmussen said: "What was a rather dreary and unvisited corner of Leamington has become a centre of attention.

"Each time I've visited and seen the murals taking shape, there have been people coming and enjoying the new energy that the paintings bring.

"The opening event was a great success.

"Already, The Crown Building is not only a source of visual pleasure but a stimulus for creativity as anyone local with an instagram account can tell you.

"As Mayor of Leamington, I can say that professionally executed projects like this can inject life and pride into whole neighbourhoods.

"Let's have more."
