Public-spirited volunteers have weighed in to help the town council gear up for the 100th anniversary of the war memorial in Lutterworth

Lutterworth Rotary Club got behind the council as the town prepares to mark the centenary of the poignant tribute – erected in 1921 some three years after the Great War ended.

Six Rotarians and one of the member’s sons got together in the bright sunshine early on Sunday morning to paint the eight bollards that stand nearby the memorial.
