Many residents have been taking advantage of the eased lockdown restrictions and the sunshine over the last two days to enjoy parks across the borough.

And this afternoon, as temperatures hit a practically-tropical 20 degrees celcius, many could be seen relaxing in Caldecott Park.

Some particularly resourceful Rugbeians even brought along picnic rugs and snacks, while others chatted away on the benches outside the cafe.

Residents had a similar idea yesterday, when many could be spotted tucking in to a picnic at Brinklow Castle.

The town's weather forecast for tomorrow, April 1, suggests a dry day with a high of 11 degrees through the afternoon.

So, while a picnic might not be completely out of the question, we think a coat would be a sensible addition.
