Summer fair with live music and stalls set to mark 100 years of Hillmorton's war memorial
Hillmorton will be holding a series of events to mark the centenary of the Hillmorton War Memorial, the Centenary of the Royal British Legion and the Centenary of the Hillmorton Ex-Servicemen’s Club & Institute.
On Armed Forces Day, Saturday, June 26, Hillmorton's branch of the Royal British Legion will be holding a Commemoration at the Hillmorton War Memorial in the presence of the mayor of Rugby, Cllr Mrs Deepah Roberts, and Mrs Gillian Guy - chairman Warwickshire Royal British Legion

Hide AdHillmorton RBL chairman Cllr Kathryn Lawrence said: "We would love members of the public to gather at 11.45am, observing social distancing on the village greens, for short Commemoration Event.
"Veterans and anyone who has a relative whose name is recorded on the Memorial would be especially welcome.”
Then, at 1.00pm, the mayor will open the Hillmorton Centenary Summer Fair in the car park of Hillmorton Ex-Servicemen’s Club.
The Police Safer Neighbourhood Team will be offering free security marking for cycles and the Fire and Rescue Service will be arriving at 2.00pm.

Hide AdThe Jaguar Landrover Band will be present to play and in the evening there will be a 1921 – 2021 Live Music Event at the Club with music from the decades.
The ticket price of £10 includes a buffet supper and tickets are available to book at the Club.
St John the Baptist Church will be holding a Community Fun Afternoon at the Church on Sunday, June 27.
