Last year Jacob Taylor spent his six-week summer holiday building the sleigh from wood, and he put the finishing touches on it over the October school holidays.

And residents flocked to see it when he put it on display outside his family's Elms Drive home over Christmas.

Jacob had invited residents to come and sit in the sleigh and, if they wished, to make a donation for Rugby Autism Network in a collection box next to the display.

The display was complete with an impressive array of Christmas lights which Jacob had saved his pocket money to buy.

At the time of publishing this story, the total raised for Rugby Autism Network is £295.92 - a figure Jacob is delighted with.

Jacob's mum Michelle said: "Jacob would love to thank everyone that came to visit and generously donated towards a charity very close to his heart.

"He got so much enjoyment sharing something very passionate to him and hopes to see everyone back this year."

Michelle previously explained: “Our son Jacob is autistic (PDA) and has life threatening medical condition .

“He does not enjoy Christmas day as the change, surprises and demands are too much.

"But the lights are what makes his Christmas."

So what is in store for Christmas 2020? Jacob is planning to spend his summer holiday building a life size wooden reindeer with seating so children can come and ride the sleigh.
