Warwick Castle to host festive winter market

Warwick Castle will be hosting its first festive winter market as part of its programme of Christmas events and attractions this year.

The market will be free to visit and will open to all - not just castle ticket holders.

It is due to be open daily from December 5 to January 3 from 10am to 8pm.

Located along the iconic East Front of the castle, independent stall-holders from Warwickshire and the surrounding area will be offering a wide range of seasonal items including craft beer, artisan gin, handcrafted jewellery, homewares, gifts and plants.

The outdoor winter market will also feature contactless payments, one-way systems and there will be additional hygiene measures in place.

Alongside the market the castle will also be hosting other Christmas events including stories with Santa, the ice rink and a light trail.

Inside the castle the Great Hall and State Rooms will be decorated - including a 20-foot Christmas tree, and visitors can learn about Christmasses past on a guided tour with one of the Castle’s historical experts.

The Castle will also be offering 'Santa’s Sleepovers', which include a wake-up call from Santa.
