Probus is an organisation of clubs where retired and semi-retired businessmen can meet up on a monthly basis for socialising and to listen to a guest speaker.

A spokesperson from Warwick Probus Club No 2 said: “We are saddened to announce the death of club secretary James Bazin who died following a stroke.

"A former club chairman and current speakers secretary, James was a significant member of the club contributing tirelessly to its welfare.

"He was always very welcoming and friendly, a kind man who always gave freely of his time to others, a nice man, a gentleman but above all quite simply James was just James.

"His passing will be an enormous loss to the club, he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all.”
