CHIlDREN’S favourite Peppa Pig and an Olympic torch joined visitors to the new Pavilions play area on Monday.
The popular porker was at the Pavilions Play Park for a fun day. There was also a barbecue, Rugby FM DJ Jason Moss, raffle, tombola and bouncy castle.
The fun day was held by the Pavilions Residents’ Association in Bilton to formally launch the new and long-awaited play park for the estate and to raise awareness of the Pavilions Residents Association.
The association secured a grant from the Big Lottery Fund with the support of Rugby Borough Council to enable the park to be built.
Despite the changeable weather the launch event was a success with a good turnout from residents and nearby neighbours.
Visitors said their children had a great time and the park was a welcome addition to the area.
Elizabeth Ewart is a mother of two young children who lives in Bilton. She said: “We had a good time on Monday and my children particularly enjoyed the trampoline and bouncy castle.”
The association will be holding its annual general meeting on Monday October 1 at 7.30pm in the Indian Community Centre, Edward Street.
Any resident of the Pavilions Estate and Prior Park Road is welcome to attend. To find out more information about the association and to contact us visit the website at: www.bit.ly/prarugby or on search Pavilions Residents Association on Facebook.
