A fundraising event is being held today in honour of Sam Davies who died on Friday in Rugby.
Sam was cycling on Lawford Road when he was in a collision with a car. He was taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire but died from his injuries.
The 24-year-old was expecting a baby with his girlfriend and had been working hard as a salesman at Xercise4Less in Rugby to provide for his family.
As a tribute to Sam, the new gym on Wood Street is holding a fundraising event today (Wednesday, January 13) from 9am to 4pm.
Xercise4Less will welcome Ex on the Beach TV show participants, Joss Mooney and Rogan O’Connor, to take part in the event.
Personal trainer and Life on Marbs star Joss, and fitness model Rogan O’Connor, will kick off today’s event with a one-hour spin-a-thon, followed by
a squat challenge and a 1km run in order to raise money for Sam’s family.
New club manager, Tonya Roberts said: “Sam was a family lad; he was well loved by many.
“Sam would do anything for anyone. His passion was for music and he loved his family and friends. We know as a team Sam worked so hard to ensure he could provide for his family and we as a team want to make sure we carry out what we believe Sam would want and also to help his family give him the send-off he deserves. A truly Amazing lad, popular and loved by all.
“A true asset to Xercise4Less Rugby. Heaven got one amazing angel.”
The company will match donations if the local branch raises £5,000.
