Visitors enjoyed a whole host of visual delights at two Christmas tree festivals at the weekend.
St Botolph’s church in Newbold and St Andrew’s church in Rugby welcomed guests to enjoy a varied display of Christmas trees.
This was St Botolph’s 11th annual festival and the theme was ‘Countries’.
Guests were also entertained by the Avon Valley School Choir and enjoyed refreshments.
St Andrew’s participants used the theme of traditional Victorian. The Rev Imogen Nay, of St Andrew’s, said: “Those who have entered trees have done so with their usual creativity and imagination, with some trees this year also smelling divine. Do come along and vote for your favourite tree, Monday to Friday, 9am-2pm, and Saturday 10am-4pm – voting slips in the cafe – and winners will be announced by the mayor at the 4pm Christingle Service on Christmas Eve.”
St Andrew’s is raising money for the Bradby Club and the Rugby YMCA.
