Police are appealing for information after a car stolen in Rugby.

The police are asking for help from the Rugby community to assist them in their investigations into a robbery from a public house car park at around 4.10am on October 27.

The victim was a man in his 60s and was sat in his car, which was a red Ford Ka, with the engine running in the car park at the Holly Bush, on Lawford Road, when he was approached by three men.

The men then made demands for him to get out of his car, which caused the victim to leave his car before the three men got in and drove off.

The men are described as wearing balaclavas and one of them is believed to have been carrying an unknown object in his hand.

The car was later recovered close to the Holly Bush.

DC Rob Ewington said: “I would like to reassure the local community that incidents like this are rare in the area and thankfully nobody was hurt.

“Officers have been following a number of lines of enquiry and I am asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident contact Warwickshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 30 of October 27.”
