Police continue to appeal for witnesses to robbery in Leamington

Warwickshire Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to a robbery which took place on Lillington Road in Leamington at 9am on Monday.

A woman is thought to have been physically assaulted before being forced inside a property where two men are believed to have stolen jewellery and a BlackBerry mobile phone.

One of the men sought in connection with the incident has been described as white and was thought to be wearing a grey Everlast jacket over a blue hooded top and jeans.

The second male is thought to be wearing a balaclava with a dark blue quilted jacket and dark trousers.

Both men were seen leaving the scene in the direction of Elm Bank Close and Lillington Road at approximately 09.15am.

An investigation is ongoing and detectives have conducted house to house enquiries, handed out leaflets and spoken to drivers and pedestrians in the area.

Officers are still keen to speak to anyone that was in the area of Lillington Road, particularly the stretch between Elm Bank Close and Aldwick Close at the time of the incident.

They are particularly interested in speaking to two people who are thought to have been in the area when the offence took place - one who was jogging past wearing a purple top and another who was walking a golden retriever.
