Police find cannabis growing in back garden of Rugby home

SEVERAL cannabis plants have been seized by police in Rugby.

Rugby Town West Safer Neighbourhood Team attended a home in Lawford Road Rugby and seized several cannabis plants.

Enquiries into who was cultivating them are still ongoing.

A spokesman for the police team said: “Some plants of the controlled substance were growing in the rear garden, there were also some tomato plants growing and it is likely these was grown in an attempt to disguise the cannabis. Cannabis and tomato plants are very different in appearance, size, shape and scent.”
