Police hunt after cyclist stamps on teenager’s head in Rugby

Police are appealing for people to come forward following an assault in Wood Street involving a cyclist and a 16-year-old pedestrian.

The incident took place on Wednesday September 11 at around 12.40pm when the 16-year-old was walking along Wood Street towards King Edward Road when a collision took place between him and the cyclist near to the chip shop.

The cyclist is reported to have hit the pedestrian in the face, knocking him to the floor where he proceeded to stamp on his head before riding off.

The 16-year-old suffered cuts and bruising to his head, but did not require hospital treatment.
