Police hunt for prisoner who may be in Rugby area

Police are appealing for information on the location of a prisoner who is believed to have spent time in Rugby.

Sean Maher, 26, absconded from HMP Sudbury on Friday, October 13 - he is believed to have spent time in Rugby since.

He was serving a 16-year sentence for conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of an imitation firearm with intent to commit an offence.

Maher is described as white, 5ft 7in tall, of medium build with short brown hair.

He has a scar above his right eye and a tattoo on his lower right arm saying ‘Sean’.

He was sentenced at Kingston Upon Thames Crown Court and his last known address is Ingrave Street in London.
