RUGBY police are warning the public about a number of incidents in the town during the last few weeks.

Between 11.45am and 3.15pm on December 7 offenders attempted to get into a property in Halfway Lane, Dunchurch by attacking the handle on the patio door. The offenders failed to get in so then attacked a bedroom window, using a pointed tool, which caused the window to break.

The offenders leaned in and opened the window to access the house. Once inside, the offenders may have been disturbed as they conducted an untidy search of the bedroom but ignored other rooms containing items of value.

At just after 3.30pm on December 19, the resident of a home in Adkinson Avenue, Dunchurch caught two offenders trying to steal her tumble drier and a pushchair from inside her porch. The resident confronted the offenders who made off in a vehicle with the registration number W772 NAY towards Cawston Lane.

Between 2 and 11.45pm on December 17 offenders forced open a ground floor window at a home in Orchard Way, Stretton on Dunsmore with a spade. The offenders also managed to open the patio doors. Once inside, the offenders carried out an untidy search before making off with items of jewellery and watches.

Between 2.30 and 5.30pm on December 25 offenders forced open the lock on the rear patio doors of a home in Waring Way, Dunchurch and entered the premises. Once inside, the offenders carried out an untidy search and made off with items of low value jewellery and a quantity of cash.
