Police investigate potential links between Rugby burglaries

OFFICERS are appealing for information about three burglaries they believe may be linked in Rugby.

The burglaries occurred during the afternoon or evening of Thursday (June 7) in Seabroke Avenue and York Street in Rugby.

One burglary was discovered by neighbours who reported hearing the alarm sounding at 8.20pm on Thursday and shut the front door of a house in York Street. The householders returned home shortly after. It is unknown if anything was stolen.

Between 1.45pm and midnight on Thursday a home in Seabroke Avenue Rugby was also broken into. The thief broke in via the back of the property and made a messy search. It is unknown what has been stolen at this stage.

Another burglary in Seabroke Avenue occurred sometime between 3.15pm on Thursday and 12.40am on Friday when it was discovered by the occupant. The burglar made a messy search of the house and stole a 32 inch LCD Wharfdale TV and jewellery including a gold pendant necklace, 2 gold pendant earrings, a gold ladies watch, a gold men’s bracelet and a men’s Citizen Equal watch, 2 gold wedding rings and a gold ladies bangle.

Officers are carrying out house to house enquiries and where available checking CCTV.
