Police investigation into Wolvey pub burglary

A VILLAGE pub near Rugby has been broken into.

Rugby police are appealing for witnesses or information following a burglary at the Bull’s Head pubic house in Church Hill, Wolvey in the early hours of yesterday morning (Tuesday).

Three men are believed to have broken in to the public house by forcing the front door at around 1.30am.

Once inside they demanded money from a member of staff, who had managed to barricade a door to prevent them from gaining further access.

The burglars removed the till drawer before leaving the premises and driving off in a dark coloured car in the direction of Bedworth.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious near to the public house on Monday night, or around 1.30am on Tuesday morning is asked to contact PC David Hinton at Rugby Police Station on (01788) 541111 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 where the information can be given anonymously.
