A neighbour of the house, on Wentworth Road, told the Advertiser they awoke to the screaming of a woman and children before 3am this morning.
The fire left a 28-year-old woman, a 10-year-old boy and an eight-year-old girl in hospital suffering with burns and smoke inhalation. The third child, a five-year-old boy, is in a critical condition.

Detective inspector Paul Thompson said: "This was an extremely serious incident that has left a woman and three children injured.
