OFFICERS have carried out three drugs warrants to target the supply of controlled drugs in Rugby.
Officers from Rugby’s Priority Policing Area, Operational Support Unit and Safer Neighbourhoods Teams executed drugs warrants at three addresses in the Brownsover and Overslade areas of Rugby on Friday morning.
Officers arrested a 26 year old female on suspicion of the possession of a controlled drug believed to be cannabis. She admitted the offence and received a fixed penalty notice.
PS 1764 Dan Salt from Rugby’s Priority Policing Area Team said: “Officers recovered suspected controlled drugs and articles used in the supply of drugs from all three addresses. The remains of a drugs factory were found at one address
”Since the beginning of October the teams have executed six drugs warrants which have led to the arrest and investigations of over ten people and the recovery of what we believe to be controlled drugs.”
PC Chris Taylor from Rugby’s PPA Team said: “I am very proud of the results we have achieved and of the overall impact we are having in the area.
This is an excellent example of how officers from different teams are working together and are dedicated to delivering high quality protection to the public, this also sends a clear message to those who supply drugs that the Police will seek them out, find them and arrest them.”
Police are also seeking information from members of the public who may have further information regarding the supply of drugs in Rugby.
Anyone with information can call police on 101.
