Officers seized a car from Clifton upon Dunsmore on Monday this week for having no tax or MOT.

The vehicle was towed away from the village and the owner of it will now have to have the correct documents with tax and insurance to get it back.

They will also have to pay the vehicle recovery yard a release fee and subsequent charges for storage.

Police have also erected a warning sign at the playing field in Clifton.

The sign states that under section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002 officers have powers to warn people about nuisance vehicles and subsequently seize them.
