Rugby hosts the Warwickshire launch of the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal with a parade through Rugby today (Thursday).
It begins at 10.15am from the clock tower, proceeding to Caldecott Park, where the appeal launch will be marked by a Field of Remembrance.
Schoolchildren will be performing music and drama in the park.
The Rugby branch of the Royal British Legion will run a stall in the Clock Towers shopping centre from Monday for two weeks.
Members will sell poppies, wreaths and buttonholes.
Last year’s appeal raised £20,000 in Rugby.
