This means Pudsey has now given more than £977,000 locally.

Hill Street has been allocated a three-year grant of £89,997 to continue to offer four youth clubs each week for those aged up to 18, some of whom are living in deprived areas of Rugby.

The project aims to improve their mental and emotional well-being, raise aspirations and improve life skills, whilst assisting them to build positive relationships with their peers and community.

Chair of Hill Street Trustees Stephen Richards said: “Everyone is so grateful to BBC Children in Need for the support.

“With this funding we will be able to underpin our current services for the next three years.

“This will offer children and young people in the area between the ages of 0 to 18 a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment in which we will work to raise their aspirations, well-being and life-skills.”
