Dozens of pupils across town have received a free dictionary from Rugby Rotary Club.
The club has provided 12 schools in Rugby with the gift of words through its annual Dictionary 4 Life campaign – with more pupils now benefiting.
Rotarian Bill Fielding said: “Following discussions with headteachers and teaching staff it was felt that it would be even more effective to give them to year five pupils.
“Even in this technological age, the dictionaries are still very popular with the pupils as evidenced by the marvellous thank you letters from pupils.
“They all appear delighted to receive the books and in some instances this is the first time they have owned a book of their very own.”
