Andrea Wolstenholme, Forest School leader, said in total 518 trees have been planted, in partnership with Warren Benson, the arboricultural inspector at Rugby Borough Council.

“Year 1 have planted 242 and year 2 managed 76,” she said.

“They have planted the area by the children’s play area in Cornwallis Road.”

She said the children have really enjoyed the whole experience.

“They are very proud of the trees they have planted,” added Andrea.

“The pupils have even named some of the trees.”
