Raffle at Rugby Railway Club raises money for New Directions disability charity

Money has been raised for a valuable service in Rugby that helps people with physical and learning disabilities.

Rugby Railway Club stewardess Susan Lockey presented £616 to New Directions deputy manager Debbie Dale on behalf of members who took part in a raffle .

She worked alongside Kaye Fletcher to assemble hampers to raise funds in a festive raffle.

Susan said: “This is the second year running we have raised funds for New Directions this way.

“We are also making three hampers to raffle for Easter which will be ready very soon where monies raised will go toward a prostate cancer charity.”

New Directions chief executive Doreen Woodward said: “We would like to say a big thank you to those who raised the money.”
