FUNDRAISERS in Rugby will be raising a mug tomorrow (Friday) to help people with cancer.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan Cancer Support’s biggest fundraising project.
A number of people in the Rugby area are staging events to change the lives of people affected by cancer.
You can donate at Jeremy Harper’s Love Coffee stall in Rugby town centre, while staff from Blue Arrow recruitment agency, Albert Street, Rugby, will be out and about selling drinks.
Coffee mornings will be held at John Taylor Funeral Directors Regent Street, Rugby; Experience hair design, Sheep Street, Rugby; and CC Viyella, High Street, Rugby. Vodafone, in Church Street, Rugby, will be giving away a phone as part of a fundraising raffle; Blooms Rugby Garden Centre, Straight Mile in Bourton-on-Dunsmore.
Jeremy, who will be in Market Place raising funds for Macmillan, said: “I always said when I got up and running I would start donating to Macmillan and the air ambulance.
“Every knows someone who has been affected by cancer so I hope there will be lots of support.”
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning started in 1990 when a fundraising committee decided to hold a coffee morning where people donated the cost of their drink. See next week’s Advertiser for pictures from fundraising coffee mornings.
