HOLLYWOOD star Rob Lowe dropped in at Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance’s headquarters in Princethorpe on Saturday.
He met the lifesaving crew, heard more about the work they do and saw the state-of-the-art helicopter.
Rob said: “Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance provide such a vital service and saves so many lives each year.
“It was fantastic to see it close up and meet the dedicated crew who provide a high standard of care and team who work so hard behind the scenes.”
Rob made his name as one of the young ‘Brat Pack’ stars in films such as St Elmo’s Fire and has starred recently in Parks And Recreation and as Jon Seger in the blockbuster hit Atomic Train.
Andy Williamson, Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Chief Executive, said: “We had a great time with Rob and it was great to be able to share our service, helicopter and introduce our crew and team that we are so rightly proud of.
During his visit a young supporter presented Rob with a special Air Ambulance flight jacket, similar to those worn by the crew. The black branded jacket had ‘Star Supporter’ printed on the back and Rob was honoured to accept and wear the unique gift.
