Robbery at the Three Horseshoes Hotel, Rugby

WITNESSES are being sought to a robbery at the Three Horseshoes Hotel in Sheep Street, in the town centre on Sunday afternoon.

Two males, both wearing scarves across their faces, entered the rear of the Three Horseshoes from Drury Lane at around 5.45pm on Sunday 5 August. They approached a member of staff and demanded that the till was opened, enabling them to steal an unknown quantity of money.

The two males then left the premises, again by the rear door, on to Drury Lane. One of the men is described as being at least six feet tall and well set like a rugby player. He had a distinctive hunched walk and was wearing a black hood, a grey scarf across his face and a waist length fabric jacket with grey tracksuit bottoms which had a white stripe down them. He also had black leather gloves.

His accomplice was shorter and is described as fat and was wearing a grey or blue hoodie with the hood up, a scarf across his face and glove. Although not injured the member of staff was badly shocked by the incident.
