PUPILS from Rokeby Primary School got a taste of local government when they visited Rugby Town Hall.

They were invited by council leader Craig Humphrey to give a presentation in the council chamber.

Members of Rokeby Primary School Council, in Anderson Avenue, originally impressed the councillor with their work at the Rugby Town West Community Forum last month.

He said “Their work is an excellent example of civic pride and efforts to improve a community.

“They were helped by local councillor Bill Lewis and items highlighted included recycling, wildlife, dog mess issuess and additional litter bins.”
