Dedicated young cheerleaders from Rugby are upping their game and moving on to competitions.

Roar Cheer and Dance will be training over the next few months and will start entering competitions around the country over the next 12 months.

A lot of the girls have been doing cheer leading with Roar Cheer and Dance just for fun.

Ellen Hope, the founder and coach, decided to put a competitive team together a few months ago.

Roar Cheer and Dance are not just about the competitive team Ellen runs classes for fun as well.

She said it’s a great way for kids to get active, grow their confidence, and meet new friends.

Karen Wesson said: “My daughter Millaney has been with Roar for the last 18 months and couldn’t even do a forward roll. Now she does forward rolls, cartwheels and stunts.

“As you can imagine the cost of uniforms, and competition costs are quite expensive, so we are looking for donations or local companies to sponsor the team, to cover some of these costs.”
