Rugby College student Lydia Noble is made up after winning a top competition.
She won first place in the Student Theatrical Make-up Competition at the Professional Make-Up Academy’s Media Make-up & Theatre Event in Birmingham.
She picked up more than £1,500 worth of prizes.
Lydia, 20, is studying for a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Production Arts (Theatrical and Media Make-up) and attended the event with three other students – Alicia Rose, Isis Campbell and Susan Moss.
She said: “It was my first competition so I really didn’t think I’d win.
“When I heard my name called it was so exciting, especially as all the other competitors were so good.
“I definitely want to go into film and TV make-up, so this is great for my CV. And the prizes I won were amazing – lots of special effects make-up and brushes as well as a trip to London for a professional photo shoot, which will help me build up my portfolio.”
Kelly Taylor, a lecturer at Rugby College, said: “I’m really proud of all our students who took part, they have done really well and worked so hard.
“For Lydia to win in her first competition is fantastic.”
