A heartbroken family are appealing for help to find their missing dog.

Sophie, a black and white springer spaniel, has been part of the Hutchinson family for 10 years.

Her owners believe she was stolen from their farm between Stanford-on-Avon and Clay Coton on October 15, some time between 4.30pm and 7pm.

A ‘Find Sophie’ Facebook page has been set up and the details of her disappearance have been shared more than 2,000 times.

This week marks Gundog Theft Awareness Week and Sophie’s disappearance has been featured as part of the campaign.

Owner Hannah Hutchinson said: “Sophie has been part of our family for 10 years, along with her sister, and we are so desperate to get her home safe and sound.

“Our two other dogs, her sister and niece, are so sad without her and she will be absolutely terrified to parted from them, having spent almost every day of her life with them.

“We have now taken the decision to offer a reward for Sophie’s safe return to us in the hope that someone will come forward.”

There has been reports of a sighting of a black and white springer spaniel, with no apparent owner, at Harlestone Firs.
