The Tanks, Trucks and Firepower Show will be at its usual site off the A426 just south of Dunchurch for three days over the August Bank Holiday weekend, the Saturday to Monday, August 27-29.

As the name suggests, the essence of the show remains the chance to get up close to all manner of military vehicles and see them in action around the arena or doing what they were designed for in the live firing displays, which provide one of the highlights of each day’s events.

The Alvis Fighting Vehicles Society is at the heart of the show and many of its machines are on display but one of the organisers, Sally Baker, said there is a wide range of attractions: “There will be 200 military vehicles on display ranging from a Second World War Jeep to present-day armour.”

Included in this line-up will be five main battle tanks, including a Chieftain, Centurion and a Challenger.

Alongside the military action there is plenty of family-friendly attractions, including children’s rides, car crushing, mini tanks, re-enactors and a wide range of stalls and refreshment options.

There’s also chance to camp for the weekend.
