There will be also be live music from local heroes The Rattletones, a special Christmas show performed by the Pauline Quirke Academy and dancing from Jaide’s Stage Studios.

There will also be the fairground, Ferris wheel, bouncy castle, balloon modelling, circus workshop, face painting, Punch and Judy, and the firework display to finish.

Rugby First managing director Aftab Gaffar said: “The Christmas light switch-on is always very popular and increases town centre footfall at what is a very important time of the year for local retailers.

“We are keen that people shop local and support their town centre while at the same time having a great day out.”
