The Ladies Prayer Group at the Rugby Indian Association has been raising money for the town’s hospital.
The group, based in Edward Street, Rugby, presented a cheque to Friends of St Cross members for £721.
The money will help the charity provide equipment and services for the Hospital of St Cross.
Friends president Joan Jesson, and chairperson Heather Green, visited the Hindu temple and enjoyed the music, prayers and meeting the ladies.
The group donated money for a bed in the hospital some time ago and told Heather and Joan that they were keen to support the Diamond Jubilee Appeal as many of them use the blood taking service.
The appeal has surpassed its £60,000 target to make improvements to the blood taking unit - one of the hospital’s busiest sectors.
