Rugby man gets six month prison sentence

A 31-year-old man from Rugby has been sentenced to six months in prison.

Stuart Robert Cunningham, of Montgomery Road, was arrested in Bedford on June 6 following a police appeal and appeared before Warwickshire Magistrates Court on Monday, July 11.

He was found guilty of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of unlawful violence, using a motor vehicle on a road or public place without third party insurance and driving while disqualified.

All of the offences occurred on May 17 in the Rugby area.

Cunningham was also ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge and £620 costs.
