Rugby man handed prison sentence for possessing indecent images of children

A man Rugby has been sentenced to eight months imprisonment after he was found in possession of indecent images of children.

Ivan Cullen Bong, aged 37 and of Brambling Close, Rugby, was sentenced on Wednesday November 15 at Warwick Crown Court after he pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to three counts of making an indecent image of a child.

He has also been put on the sex offenders' register for 10 years and given an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.

Detective constable Robert Ewington said: "Despite his guilty plea, Bong has absolutely no regard for the suffering of the children in the images he downloaded. Warwickshire Police is committed to tracking down and bringing to justice those who seek to obtain this kind of material.

"If anyone has information that someone is using the internet to access indecent images, I would urge them to contact police on 101."
