A Rugby man who faces four allegations of attempted murder – all said to involve the same person – is to have his case dealt with before a judge.
Wayne Thomas Norman, 57, of Winfield Street, appeared before magistrates in Nuneaton last Thursday, charged with attempting to murder a man in Rugby between August 27 and September 4 this year.
All four charges are identical.
Norman was remanded on conditional bail to appear at Warwick Crown Court, sitting at Leamington, on March 5, 2014.
Norman gave no indication of plea. Presiding magistrate Richard Humphries told Norman: “These are matters that can only be dealt with at the crown court.”
