Rugby man jailed for 14 months for drug and driving offences

A man from Rugby has been sentenced to 14 months in prison for drug and driving offences.

Nathan Douglas, aged 27, of Howkins Road, appeared at Warwick Crown Court yesterday, (Wednesday March 8).

He was charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis, dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, no insurance and driving other than accordance with a licence after a police pursuit through Clifton-on-Dunsmore in May last year.

He pleaded guilty at Warwick Crown Court to dangerous driving and possessing cannabis and was jailed for 13 months and disqualified from driving for 30 months. He was also given consecutive sentences of one months and one week for two further offences of failing to surrender to his bail at the court.
