Local MP Mark Pawsey is holding a public meeting on the upcoming EU referendum next Wednesday (April 6).
The meeting is being held in the Benn Hall, Rugby, between 6.30pm and 8pm. Mark will chair the meeting and representatives from both the Remain and Leave campaigns have been invited to attend.
The meeting will provide the people of Rugby with an opportunity to learn more about the arguments on both sides of the debate and to pose questions to the speakers.
Mr Pawsey said: “The Conservative Party has delivered on its manifesto pledge to hold a referendum on Britain’s future in Europe. The Prime Minister has renegotiated our relationship with the EU but it is now for every individual to decide whether they want to ‘Remain’ in the European Union or ‘Leave’ in the first referendum on this issue in over 40 years.”
He added: “In recent weeks, and months, I have received a lot of correspondence from Rugby residents keen to learn more about the arguments on both sides of the debate. People clearly have a lot of questions they want to ask and my hope is that this public meeting will provide them with that opportunity.”
Registration for the free event is strongly advised to avoid disappointment. To register for your place at the meeting please contact Yousef Dahmash in Mr Pawsey’s office on 01788 579499 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
