Rugby MP Mark Pawsey has welcomed the news that Cawston Grange Primary School is converting into an academy.
Speaking about the announcement, Mr Pawsey said: “I am very pleased that Cawston Grange Primary School has recognised the benefits of becoming an academy and changed its status for the start of this new academic year.
“The Government has conducted an education revolution in our schools and the academy programme is an integral part of this. Becoming an academy gives schools the freedoms and flexibility they need to continue to drive up standards.”
“I have no doubt that Cawston Grange is committed to the Government’s objectives in raising standards for all children and creating a world-beating education system. I am proud of this Government’s achievements in rolling out the academy programme to hundreds of schools and I wish Cawston Grange Primary School all the best for what I am sure is a promising future.”
