Visitors flocked to Rugby Art Gallery and Museum to enjoy a host of dinosaur-themed activities during the Night At Your Museum event.

The Dinosaur at Dusk evening featured a packed programme of prehistoric fun, with a walking, roaring Tyrannosaurus Rex greeting almost 2,000 visitors on the night.

The event featured an exhibition of Creaturama Dinosaurs by artist Anthony James, who also hosted workshops where children created dinosaurs from recycled materials.

There were also story-telling sessions while Prof Gowan Dawson presented his lecture - How the Victorians Made Dinosaurs.

With a display of fossils courtesy of Warwickshire Museum, dinosaur-themed fun and games for the under fives, and dinosaur cupcakes on offer, it proved a Night At Your Museum to remember.

Jessica Hartshorn, Rugby Art Gallery and Museum’s learning and outreach officer, said: “We welcomed nearly 2,000 visitors to Dinosaurs at Dusk, with people of all ages coming along to join in the fun. I’m delighted so many people enjoyed a night at their museum.”
