Rugby pub has bouncebackability
It was announced last year it was on a list of Wetherspoon pubs the company wanted to get rid of but new owners are about to take over.
The pub closed as a Wetherspoon’s on Sunday but will be taken over by Leicester-based Stream Developments on Monday who plan to reopen it a day or two afterwards still under the Sheriff name.

Hide AdStream’s current outlets are Club Republic, Blueprint Nightclub, Fat Cat Cafe Bar, The Reynard Pub and The Locker Room Sports Bar, all in Leicester.
Operations manager Ross Campbell-Carman said: “Our intention is to run the Lawrence Sheriff as it stands with as few changes as possible to both the food and drinks menus.
“Some product lines are Wetherspoon exclusive so where necessary we will attempt to replace like for like.”
