Five regulars at The Bull pub in Rugby have taken on an unusual challenge to help a children’s charity.

They will see who can eat the most chicken wings in a limited amount of time.

The stunt takes place at The Bull on Friday, August 1, for Variety: The Children’s Charity.

It starts at 5.30pm for 6pm and everyone is invited to support the wing eaters and make a donation to the appeal.

Popular local magician Magic Dean has agreed to compere the event.

Louise Medhurst, general manager of the pub, said: “It has the potential to be a really great event and raise a lot of money.

“One of my guys already has £100 in pledges.”

She added: “There’s a lot of male pride at stake here and it’s for a really good cause so we hope to get lots of support.”

The Bull is at 28 Sheep Street, Rugby.
