A varied menu of fine quality food served with a warm smile is guaranteed at Pumpkins Deli in Brinklow.

It has been voted the winner of the Rugby Advertiser’s Cafe of the Year Award.

The competition was held over a period of months and readers were asked to vote for their favourite establishment.

Dozens of people took the time to share their views - but there could be only one winner.

Christos Aristidou, general manager of Pumpkins Deli, said he was delighted to receive the accolade.

“I would like to thank everybody who voted for us,” added Christos.

“We pride ourselves on our first class customer service and the quality food we serve. We’re really happy to be recognised with this award and we hope to continue with our success.”

Pumpkins Deli, in Broad Street, is a coffee shop and delicatessen specialising in mouth-watering hot and cold food.

The cafe has customers who are drawn back again and again to the many delights Pumpkins has to offer.

“Our customers enjoy the friendly atmosphere and service with a smile,” said Christos.

Another speciality at the cafe, as well as a range of sandwiches are the wedding cakes made entirely of cheese for all occasions.

Some of the comments made by customers include: “Friendly service and lovely food - especially the cakes”, “Always a warm welcome, lovely fresh food in a relaxed setting”, “Great food, great atmosphere and excellent coffee”, “Great service, really friendly staff, it’s a lovely place to meet friends for a coffee” and “Friendly relaxed atmosphere, great coffee and food. Great local place to chill with the morning paper.”

Editor Chris Lillington congratulated the staff on the award.

“Well done to all the team at Pumpkins,” he said.
