The Wrestling Association of Rugby (WAR) is back with its new show, Summer Scramble on June 8 for an evening of exciting, family-friendly wrestling action.

Fresh from a nationwide tour, the superstars of WAR are squeezing into their lycra and lacing their boots on Saturday June 8 for the hottest night of action this year – Summer Scramble.

The headline attraction will be a unique Battle Bowl match to crown the number one contender. The winners of qualifying matches earlier in the evening will clash in a no-holds-barred, all action main event where only one man will be left standing.

The 300lb monster The Judge has pledged to “squash” fierce rival Chris Ocean and then claim the Battle Bowl trophy himself.

Meanwhile crowd favourite, and now longest reigning WAR champion ever, Blue Thunder will also be defending his title against Xander Cooper.

After brutally attacking his tag team partner and turning his back on the fans, Cooper has developed an arrogant attitude, claiming: “I’m the best wrestler in this company and on June 8, I’m going to prove it by destroying Blue Thunder and becoming the undisputed WAR Heavyweight Champion.”

Already announced for the show are some of the best wrestling talents from across the country including ‘The Bird of Prey’ Falcon, The Spindoctor and Lee and Jim – The Ocean Brothers.

WAR will bodyslam into town on Saturday June 8 at Lawrence Sheriff School. Tickets for the event are on sale now and can be reserved by calling 07795 621740 or by emailing

Entrance is £6 for adults, £5 for under 15s and a family of two adults and two children is £18.

Doors open at 6.30pm with bell time at 7pm. For more information see
