Visitors to Rugby town centre can win some romantic Valentine’s Day prizes in an initiative organised by the town centre management.

People are being encouraged to collect ‘Love Tickets’ from participating businesses for a chance to win prizes including a weekend for two in Paris.

The ‘Love Tickets’ are available from over 50 town centre businesses from now until Wednesday February 12.

To enter the competition all you have to do is collect your ‘Love Ticket’ from a business displaying a poster or listed on the Rugby town centre website, enter your details on the reverse and simply return it to the business, a Rugby First Ranger or the postal address on the ticket. The closing date for entries is 5pm on Wednesday February 12 with the ‘Love Draw’ taking place live on Rugby FM the next day.

As well as the top prize of a weekend for two in Paris over £2,000 worth of prizes have been donated by local businesses. These include a professional photography session, romantic meals, flowers, champagne, pamper packages, jewellery, chocolates, gifts and more.

Aftab Gaffar, Rugby First managing director, said: “The promotion is a great way to attract new and existing visitors to Rugby, increase footfall, raise awareness of Rugby town centre and generate additional spend.

“I have been delighted at the number of businesses who have got involved with the promotion, along with their generosity in donating some fantastic prizes, and would like to thank them.

“If you are looking for something special this Valentine’s why not visit Rugby to discover some unique gifts and enjoy some great shopping.”

The promotion is funded through Warwickshire County Council’s Operation Footfall Campaign and supported by Rugby First, Clock Towers Shopping Centre, local businesses and Rugby Borough Council.
