Rugby Theatre is looking for fresh recruits to join its diverse and interesting teams.
They are searching for new blood and will open the stage doors for a members’ evening on Monday at 7.30pm.
Rugby Theatre depends on an army of skilled volunteers to create the shows, keep the box office open and make sure the lights and sounds are switched on at the exact moments.
There are many other opportunities, including joining the audio-visual team for those with experience of sound and visual systems.
Nicky Main, marketing director said: “We pride ourselves on providing not only first class entertainment but also a first class experience, from front door to exit.
“Theatres are not just about actors on a stage, as many other important teams pull together to make sure everything is ‘all right on the night’.
“To continue keeping our shows on the road we’re looking for capable and enthusiastic people to come and join us as members.
“If this sounds like you and you want to play a part in making great theatre, then we’re looking forward to talking with you.”
Liz Ingram, a member who helps out in the stage management team, and is also personnel officer for the production groups added: “I’ve been a member for 40 years now and it’s impossible to underestimate what I’ve got out of it.
“My grandad was in the first show here, my parents met here, I met my husband here and my son is the fourth generation of the family to be involved.”
Rugby Theatre is in Henry Street, Rugby.
